Selena Gomez reveals recent surgery for a broken hand
Along with releasing her latest song late last week, Selena Gomez has also shared a health update with fans.
The “Single Soon” singer, 31, took to the comments section of a fan’s Instagram postto reveal she’s recovering from a recent surgery.
“#SingleSoon by Selena Gomez is predicted to enter the top 20 of Billboard Hot 100 Charts, but needs stability,” read the Saturday post, which encouraged fans to purchase the single on Amazon and iTunes.
“Broke my hand and had surgery,” Gomez commented. “I don’t care about selling anything. I’m just happy to make music with my friends.”
The “Only Murders in the Building” star also made headlines for correcting reports that suggested “Single Soon” was at all referencing her 10-month relationship with The Weeknd back in 2017.

Gomez took to Instagram in mid-August to announce she’d release the song as fans had been desperate for new tunes.

Taylor Swift, one of Gomez’s best friends, also took to her Instagram Story to help promote “Single Soon.”
“WHEN UR BESTIE IS THE BESTEST,” wrote Swift, 33. “WILL BE DANCING TO THIS FOREVER METHINKS.”
