Man seriously injured in forklift accident at Boston airport

A man was suffering life-threatening injuries Tuesday afternoon in a forklift accident at Boston’s Logan International Airport.

The Massachusetts State Police said the incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. outside Terminal C when a forklift hit a “stationary structure” and fell on its operator.

The worker, a subcontractor for JetBlue, was rushed to Boston Medical Center, the state police said.

The name of the forklift operator was not released.

There were no planes nearby when the accident happened and the area has no public access.

Police said the investigation was ongoing.

The incident occurred roughly two months after a worker was “ingested” by a plane’s engine on the tarmac at San Antonio International Airport.
