‘Jurassic Park’ actor Sam Neill being treated for stage-3 blood cancer

“Jurassic Park” actor Sam Neill’s biggest battle is ongoing, according to an upcoming memoir that begins by telling readers its author “may have to speed this up” because he’s dying.

The 75-year-old star told The Guardian — which obtained an early copy of “Did I Ever Tell You This?” — that he started writing vignettes from his life to keep himself busy during treatment for stage-three blood cancer last year.

“I never had any intention to write a book,” he said. “But as I went on and kept writing, I realized it was actually sort of giving me a reason to live and I would go to bed thinking, ‘I’ll write about that tomorrow … that will entertain me.”

Neill said he’s now “cancer-free,” thanks to a chemotherapy drug he’ll take monthly as long as he’s alive.

An actor who has played more than 150 roles in films such as “The Hunt for Red October,” “The Piano,” and “The Horse Whisperer,” Neill said he missed working while he was in treatment and “can’t pretend that the last year hasn’t had its dark moments.”

But the Northern Ireland native — once in the running to play James Bond — said his recovery made him “immensely grateful” for all the positive things in his life.

According to his IMDb, Neill has five upcoming projects, including the Stan Australia original film “The Portable Door,” co-starring Christoph Waltz and Miranda Otto.

“Did I Ever Tell You This?” goes on sale Tuesday and includes endorsements from Neill’s “A Cry in the Dark” co-star Meryl Streep as well as Laura Dern, who he worked with in the “Jurassic Park” franchise.

A 13-hour audiobook is also in the works, according to Neill’s Twitter account.
